The Juice Lady, Cherie Calbom, M.S., will be at the Bastyr University Kitchen June 12 from 10 am to noon. She's sharing "Summer Flavors with Fresh Juice." She'll be serving up a fresh juice blend and a mostly raw foods cuisine including Zippy Gazpacho-style Summer Tomato Soup, a dehydrated Daikon-Broccoli Cracker, Cabbage Slaw with Carrots and a Beet Dressing along with a Cashew-Carrot Sauce with peas and asparagus (lightly cooked) and served with rice or pasta. She will be juicing and sharing samples of fresh juice as she lectures on her latest book and program--The Juice Lady's Turbo Diet. Cherie shares amazing stories of people who have lost 20, 60, 70, 120, even 230 pounds turbo juicing and eating more raw foods. She also shares stories of people who've lowered their cholesterol by nearly 100 points and rid their bodies of pain and illness.

What to bring: A dish made raw and vegan. For those new to raw food preparation. A fruit or vegetable salad with a raw (homemade) dressing is great. Make sure there is enough for at least 4 people.

We will also be going on a trail hike (easy walk) at 4:00 p.m before the potluck. If it fits in your schedule, please come with us!
